First container lands ..

It will be stored on a property where there is more security than out on our land.  Next steps are for the trees on the foreshore to go and then the beach to be built ... we're progressing at a better pace now.

Here are our electricity meters placed slap bang in the middle of where the driveways for both blocks will be! The electricity pole is actually inside our land and on the boundary of the two blocks!  Ahh, gotta love it .

Keep going....

Wet weather held us up for a while as the trucks couldn't get in to deliver the windows, but finally we were able to continue.  Deadline was looming for the container to be shipped, so it was full steam ahead for quite a few weekends.
Fencing in!
Windows in!

 John in!

See I did help ... I put the number stickers on!

Phew, all done and ready for collection.

Let's get moving ....

Time to start packing our first container!
We had stored most of our "stuff" in a spare container at a local truck stop managed by a friend so this made our storage over the past year or two so much easier.

So together with the new deliveries such as kitchens, vanities, windows, bathroom fittings, electrical wiring, toilets and even down to nuts and bolts, the loading started.  Goods already stored had to be removed so we could pack in some sort of order.

Fencing for the four blocks

Believe it or not, these are the kitchens!  (No, we haven't gone crazy with colour, we packed the materials for the silt screen around for protection).  The silt screen will be used in the water to protect the environment when reclaiming the foreshore.

Building begins .....

Don't get excited, just the container house stumps.  John arrived in Port Vila to put the concrete stumps in to support the two container houses.

Mmmm, doesn't seem to be much happening?

Done, stumps are in, just need the empty container to go in now.

Getting closer ......

Spent two weeks at Ifira Point ... amazing spot so close to town.

Land is looking good and we now have someone to permanently maintain it.
